Original Sprout “Worry Free” Sunscreen Brand & Packaging Redesign

Born under the California sun, Original Sprouts’s Worry Free Sunscreen formula was created to turn everyday sun protection into a ritual of beauty, softness, and care. Inspired by the timeless grace of the Greek muses, each formula is designed to protect skin while preserving its natural radiance.

I redesigned the packaging for an existing sunscreen brand and created 3 variations based on SPF level. The original packaging differentiated SPF levels only through the numerical value displayed on the box. In my redesign, I introduced unique color palettes and different Muses for each SPF level to create a more cohesive system.
As the SPF level increases, the muse becomes more shaded from the sun, representing the level of protection while also nodding to the brand’s women-owned identity.
“Sun Kissed”
Sun Protection Factor of 30
Lightweight daily protection for soft, sunlit skin. Made for golden hours, everyday glow, and effortless wear.
“High Noon”
Sun Protection Factor of 70
Balanced & breathable protection. Designed for long afternoons spent under the sun. A perfect match for those who want lasting protection & effortless glow.
“Total Eclipse”
Sun Protection Factor of 90
The deepest level of protection for days spent fully in the sun. Comfortable, weightless coverage with a soft dewy finish. The SPF 90 formula will keep your skin safe under extreme direct sun exposure.

Behind the Scenes / Process
When designing the physical packaging, I chose to print on waterproof paper so the product could truly be taken into the wild. To put the durability of the design to the test, I brought it into my own wilderness; the North Shore of Oʻahu. Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the product photoshoot day.
